It is not just a job, it is a way of life.<\/li><li>A Civil Servant should feel pleasure in serving the public.<\/li><li>He\/she should have the willingness to behave&nbsp;<strong>competently, efficiently, honestly, responsibility, objectively, fairly &amp; with accountability.<\/strong><\/li><li>Aristotle said that everyone at position of power and authority should have&nbsp;<strong>four cardinal values<\/strong>:<ul><li><strong>Prudence<\/strong>: Exercise with practical wisdom<\/li><li><strong>Justice<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Fortitude<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Temperance<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Here are some important attributes of Civil Servants:<ul><li>Neutrality<\/li><li>Integrity<\/li><li>Honesty<\/li><li>Impartiality<\/li><li>Non-Partisanship<\/li><li>Objectivity:<ul><li>Legal responsibility comes from Objectivity<\/li><li>Moral responsibility comes from Values<\/li><li>It leads to transparency in decision-making<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Dedication<\/li><li>Empathy<\/li><li>Tolerance &amp; Compassion<\/li><li>Courage<\/li><li>High self-confidence &amp; self-esteem but with humility<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ETHICAL ISSUES IN CIVIL SERVICES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Today the Indian Civil Service is facing a large number of ethical issues and most of them, directly or indirectly, are related to corruption.
